Stop trying to make Soldat newb-proof. It's your fault if you don't move.. just crouch and your Soldier won't start to smoke.

Indeed, I've never had a problem with it. Besides, all Soldats are chain smokers anyways. That's like asking CC to give up pornography or something.

All you have to do is fire your weapon and he will stop. Of course, if you're a barret or m79 user, that kind of screws you over. Maybe change weapon would work.
