Ok, I was gonna download this game as a friend recommended it to me. Before I download it, I wanna know if this game playable using a 56k modem? I don't wanna download it and find out I'm playing with 90679086ms ping.

Yes you can play it, but never try to play a match with more than 9 guys

Yep, I play on dialup :)
On some [australian] servers I get like 200 ping, but mostly I get around 400-500. Still playable, though at a significant disadvantage.

it lags little but you can play also you get sometimes conn probs then you just press f7 and start refreshing ie window and modem start working again and go back to game and game is on then (played 7months on 56k) ping are usually 200-500 if its over 400+ you cant hit no one then :(

Yeah 56 k works fine if you play in servers near you with a few players

When I had 56k I had ping of 100 - 400.
Now I have cabel I get ping well under 100 on some servers.

I got Broadband on 10 MB upload, 2,5 MB download. I ping around 0 to 66 on european servers. Not that you would give a damn.

56k does work. But sometimes it is really bad. Stay away from Internet games with bots on. I play on 8 player games and it runs fine. More and you're going to suffer. This is just advice for all 56kb modem guys like me.
More: I am also having problems uploading files, it doesn't let me upload when I click on the Icon to Upload. I am currently using Opera. Is that maybe the problem.
Why: I'm trying to upload a map like De_Dust called Ctf_Dustcity. It is my first map but I suck with way points so I wanted to gather up a bunch of people to play it online. [xx(]

i am from the future orx, and i say that you will upload dustcity to the forum, though you should ask the one they call 'M' to waypoint it for you. oh, and you're going to be the leader of humanity after the .bot file convert intoprograms for robots that take over the world... 56k is purdy good even with 30 players 4 me

im on 56gay and ive found it only makes a different when the ping is above 300.
