I'm not sure if you answered his question Superkill.

I think he wants to know how to get a LAN game going with his buddies.

ROFL sk ^_^

w00t :P

either way there is an option under... the options menu to change your server from LAN and Internet.

If you wanna play on your LAN, you might wanna change this to... LAN ;)

And then in the lobby beside the request servers button is a little option to search over LAN or through the lobby, for LAN games use LOCAL

=D hav fun :)

I played a network with my friends, but couldn't find any games in the lobby. What we did is join by the network IPs. If you don't know the network IP of your computer then...well...you're stuffed :)

If you want to see your IP, in Windows 95/98 try the following:
Go to Start/Run and do the command winipcfg

Windows 2000 you can go to a DOS prompt and do:
ipconfig

All the trouble I had setting up a LAN server and all I had to do was punch in my server IP. For some reason I expected my server to appear on the LAN list in Join Game? It never did.

carsten, we need a little more info.
do you want to play an internet or LAN game. basically, are you're friends going to be playing the game from each persons house, or are you all getting together and hooking the computers together in a home network?

next, are you behind a firewall or router of any kind?
