This game is the BoMB!

Mutant Storm is inspired the classic RoboTron by Williams, Smash TV and Jeff Minters fantastic Llamatron.
To those unacquainted, this means one hand controlling fire direction, and the other controlling movement. Sounds confusing? ...don´t worry, just grab your trusty mouse ( or dual stick joypad if you want genuine Robotron style ) and give it a go. Its very simple once you try, and very intuitive once you?re used to it.

I'm not afiliated with the guys in any way, I just recomended a game that I really like. There was a Thread with fav shareware games but the damn search isn't working... so u got yourself a new thread.

hmm do you only have the demo? cause the full game costs money....i'll try it anyways ;)

btw i just played it, AWESOME. fantastic graphics and its pretty fun. no music to it though :( but i'll deal with it, and wish i didnt have the demo time limit. but overall its a fantastic game

yeah, but with the 6 minute time limit i doubt i'll be able to get to level 20 =p

i almost finished their other game, space tripper, which is cool but not multiplayer so it's boring (got a warez copy of it from somewhere)

with 6 minute limit you can come to like.....10th level, i came to 8th

I have played Space Tripper before (same web site - PomPom), and that was pretty fun.

And I just downloaded this, hopefully it's fun :)

yeah I was at teh university and those DAMNED DIRTY APES no that wasn't it, but the connection fully cut out for a second and then went hyper and sent the request in an endless loop, which I stopped after 3, but then had to leave to catch a bus :S

my personal best was level 26 (starting level1) so far... but it gets really ugly :D

I mean....you get to 10th level with 6 minut limit
when you die you choose that you start in 10th level, then in 6 mins you can get MAX to 19th, i got to 18th lol

PomPom makes the best retro style games around, they have great support, and they are even going to include new modes.

The game saves at every 10 levels - and it's totally intense. The great thing is they have Linux and Mac versions, so it covers just about everyone. Anyhow, great to see such a good game being promoted elsewhere.

42 seconds left at level 19 (there's no level 20 :(

Fun :) Now I gotta green blet, and I can do it on the next difficulty LOL

Not that I will probably, but it's a fun game. I like it.

It's called Crimsonland, and it's actually (oddly) pretty similar to mutant storm... combined with Fallout... LOL

It's also a demo, but it's fun too :)

The full version of Mutant Storm is way more intense. I do suggest you buy it if you like it. The higher levels have some very cool visuals and effects, forcefields that move, and turrets, and all sorts of interesting things.
