Black sceen whan I start a game

Whan I start a game in Soldat all the screen is black, I can hear the game and i can shoot but, i can't see anything in the game [:-weepn].

Operating System- Windows XP pro
Video card- Ati 3D rage pro
Pentium 2
Direct X version- 9a
Video card Driver- the one i get with windows XP

What I would do is go to the soldat Setup and click on the 'More' tab then enable the 'Blank Screen while bonus fix', that should work. If not try enabling some of the other options.

I try to do it but its does not help

what worked for me was i put my windows display settings on 16 bit color and i unchecked "run in full window" in soldat setup
if the game is too small in the windowed version, just put ur windows resolution lower before starting the game

Make sure that you do not have the 'Force Software' option enabled.

But whan I lanch soldat without the 'Force Software' thar is a error "your hardware doesnot support directx 8, please download lastest drivers to your video card, software mode i'll now be on" something like that

3 main things that can cause this problem:

Make sure you have DirectX 9.0b

Make sure your video card is capable of running Direct3D

Make sure your video drivers are up to date

I did'nt find drivers to my video card [xx(] (3d rage pro)

Well, the only drivers for your card that work with Windows XP are the ones that come with Windows XP lol

So, you're in trouble. Unfortunately, your card is classed as a legacy card, and for years now, it has had no further support/drivers.
