Did you check to makes sure you have the latest drivers?

Make sure you check to see if your mainboard is compatible with that video card.

hmmmmm, and it was working fine with your old driver?

What driver were you using, and what are you using now?

Frosty - there are no new drivers for the voodoo series, 3dfx is dead.

But I would like to know what Sypda is and was using :P

before i was using the one that came with my video card (the cd includes a driver for it)

but after that, i needed a driver update in order for me to play Counter-Strike 1.6, so i downloaded this thing called glsetup.exe which has all verisons of 3dfx voodoo card driver and some other video card which is like 80MB in size.

then i installed that. CS 1.6 runs smoothly and when i go back to soldat, things i mentioned above happened.

yeah, glsetup has drivers for most cards

best I can suggest is that you try to find a 3rd party driver for your card that will run both CS and Soldat. Unfortunately 3dfx cards don't have any support anymore :(

Just look down the list. There aren't many drivers for the voodoo3 for your OS (whatever that is)

Find a better driver? :P

Unfortunately, it all comes down to the driver.

So, why did CS 1.6 need a different driver?
