I just noticed this today: if you run soldat in windowed, it gives a better FPS than in fullscreen. This is most noticeable when using fraps; it lags much less when you use it in windowed mode. I thought I would post this in case anybody who's making a movie uses fullscreen. Another tip: if you set your monitor to 640*480 and set the taskbar to not always be on top, (right click on it, go properties and uncheck the box) you can run it in windowed mode but it looks just like fullscreen. Have fun with faster fraps [:D]

How do you run Soldat in windowed?

Go to ur soldat directory then l00k for a Soldar Config and there should be option in there, saying windowed or full screen. :) Thanks for the tip bman

Yeah ok, I played it in windowed and fraps still slows it down.

yes it still will slow down, but it shouldn't slow down as much.

It´s harder to play in windowed!

I believe the difference in framerate is a "feature" of directx.
