My brother is hosting a server for my friends and I, but he doesn't want to do much work on it. The only way we know of being a remote admin is setting it up through the *.txt file, and inputting the person's IP. The problem is I am on dial-up, and my IP changes. Does anyone know if there is a way around this?

does adding a hostname to the remote file work? I'm impressed if it does.

Cable would be a great option, if it cost under $2000 to install at my house, and so would DSL if it was available.
But I'm going to try the no-ip thing, and then I'll try the mIRC if that doesn't work.

Yeah, if you set up a webserver on it, I made a cool Password-required PHP script so you can add and remove admins from your internet browser.
