What program do i need to create Soldat videos like Urhos and pals?

fraps.com get that thingy. if its not fraps.com jus search for fraps on google and the site should come up. its a program that allows you to record in-game. if you need help on how to work it then just read that manual.

There are two versions of Fraps.
1.9D - freeware, works very well and I made my first movie with that
2.0 - shareware, limited recording time, sound feature (doesn't work for me, video/sound is out of synch).

1.9 is fine.

I didn't know the version history on fraps so I just thought 2.0 was the only thing out there. i will try 1.9.

I just got done trying all versions of fraps. 1.9 is ok for soldat and [:-censored] for half life. I want to make some half life vids and I am probably just better off using the in game demo recorder then Fraps for that. 2.0 sucks for everything because its a demo. In short fraps' only use is soldat. Therefore it blows.

I think, that whit Kazaa you will find a full version.

What do you expect? Which resolution do you use in Halflife? 1024*768 or something like that? Try recording in 640*480.
Enable DMA mode for your IDE controllers and make sure you don't have a slow HD.

U record vids directly from playing half-life[:-bigeyes2] ? lol
U have to make a demo and use videomatch to make a video from the demo.
That worked on my pentium 2 400MHZ 128MbRAM and 8mb video card.

I know how to make half life demos. Its just a bitch converting HL demos into playable and editable movie files. I thought maybe fraps would make it a little easier. I have a 2.4ghz 512mb ram and 64mb video card. I use 800*600 in half life. I will try the 640*480 thing.

i have the full version too, but how come my record button doesnt stay on? for some reason i cant record. the numbers flash red for a millasecnd then turn off. Why is that? does anyone know why i cant keep recording?

I dont like fraps, the movies are really big (i cant edit them if i cant fit them on my hd first) and it makes soldat lag so i cant even record anything good.
