But I didn't, the only programn I had running (and always had) were winamp and mIRC. But I got banned after playing without a problem (while those running in the background) for ages!

Sometimes it stuffs up, but it's usually correct...
When playing Soldat, try not to run anything in the background... There are warnings in the manual, among other places.
