I bought a logitech mx500 mouse, not only because I needed a new one, but also because I have my mind on assigning one of those thumb buttons as "throw grenade".

Much to my dismay it didnt work (the grenadet throwing that is), not with the logitech drivers, and not with microsoft standard drivers.

Any of u fellas out there who actually know a way of making it work in soldat, ive heard som loose rumours of going into the registry and add some values etc. but no one has really been able to tell me what to do.

Anyways, good to see DNA back online, happy hunting

hmm maybe soldat is to simple to work with 34234234 mouse buttons like cs ;)

Hmm, yeah, sometimes i get that feeling when i try to make it work. The thing is that sometimes, just every once in a while, it works, but you have to press the button like 34234234 times to drop one grenade.

Hey man, good work and all, any suggestions or answers for me? ;)

Best wishes

My middle/scroll button works on a generic HP mouse. Maybe its just Logitech?

The scrollwheel works fine both as a button and as a wheel, but there are five more buttons that dont work. Most importantly two buttons that are situated on the left side of the mouse, to be used by your thumb.

Support for "special" mouse buttons
Right now there's support for Mouse1-2, Mouse middle and the scroll wheel.
I'd really like to see support for the rest, too. Maybe I'm the only one who wants this,
but heh, I want to use my mouse *completely* :)

I already mailed that to Michald and he "accepted" it but we don't know when it will be implemented.

Well peeps, one thing you can do...

Assign a button to a keystroke, eg. MB4 = 'k'

Then whenever you press mouse button 4 it uses k :)

Then set the throw grenade button to k, and you're set ^^

I know Microsoft has drivers that let you do this, but I'm not sure about logitech...

Maybe I should try to download a driver for my mouse, even when it is no longer supported... Damn Logitech supposed that their mice would live less than they do.
