Well, seeing as all the maps are left to right or right to left and then you have to turn around, why not have a map maker option of "looping" the map in and around itself on BOTH the X, AND the Y axis!
This way, you could create a bottomless pit, a endless plain, or a endless maze that loops around top to bottom and left to right! You keep running left and you'll end up where you were! Imagine the maddness of going up and up and up and eventually ending back where you started! Imagine the maddness of the M82's shot going around the map and killing a enemy with a knife that was about to kill you from behind! Imagine shooting a LAW upwards and having it blow up in someone's a**!!! [:D]
The best thing about it is that this only effects the map that the mapper wants it to effect, so maps dont have to be re-worked to accomidate this! As well, it would be interesting to play a wrap-around map where you wouldn't have to walk over the mountain to your left, but instead walk across the plain to your right to get to the enemy flag. It puts the "Which direction are they comming from?" aspect into Soldat which i think it's missing. (it IS a game about soldiers, is it not?)
