When I try to place spawn or a collider, the icon doesn't show on the map, nor i think, it is created

did you try to re-install the map maker.
i do that 'cause in my MM the static weapon doesn't appear in my "options", but when i install again it appears, maybe your problem would fix like mine.

Make sure you're not zoomed in at all, because if you are, it doesn't allow you to see the items when you place them. When you unzoom they should be alright. If this isn't the problem then i don't know...

it's most likely because youre on the waypointing option screen when you try it. it just wont work on that screen. put it on scenery or polygons screen, and you should be able to place 'em.
