I finally got this thing running without kicking people
but is there a way to launch it into background mode? i mean i have my server on a ssh connection and I can't be connected to it all the time as long as the soldat server is up so is there any way ?

What's your operating system, Optik? I did this on RH9, but if you don't use RedHat, I can probably find the same solution for SuSe/Mandrake...

Optik: talk to your system administrator, he may be able to add the server to start on boot.

yeah it's linux redhat and it's my own dedicated server on a 100mbit like i rent it and i got shell axx so i'll do the same thing this guy did i saw his post before how to start it on boot but is there another way to launchit without restarting? cause i need my server up and don't wanna restart, it's been up like few months now don't wanna reboot

My solution had to do with rebooting... Sorry, but I don't think there's another way..

k guess i'll jsut keep my comp up for few days at a time and then restart like i do now :P so my server restarts will be every few dyas :P heh

My host reformatted... It always brings up the default plesk page even when I reupload the files, so im just keeping it down for now..

well i did wut n00bface did and added to auto launch and restarted :) worked perfectly hehe now lets see how much i can keep it up for without a major bug or downtime heh
