Too big a map?

I made a map. A bigass map.

The map's quite wide - 6000 pixels, using two large scenery bmp files at each end, 2000 pixels tall and 3000 pixels wide, and some polygons thrown in for good measure. [:D]

Problem is I sent this to a friend, and when he plays it he gets bits of the right xtra-large bmp (not bmp's) removed for some reason. Vertical black lines in seemingly random positions where scenery once was.

And on another piece of scenery (same map, different bmp) that I use to overlap some polygons, on the right side of the map in various places it's not visible, while on the left it is, despite it being the same bmp.

The map still remains playable in, and I can even connect and play with him on the map. Bizzarely, I myself (the creator) get none of these problems whether i'm testing it alone or connecting to his server.

So what the hell is going on?

Try to chop the bitmaps up.. I'm quite sure it's because of the extreme width/height :)
