i was just thinking, what about adding a gun that would be a cross between the ruger and the barret. something that has the scope of the 1.1.5 barret, but only does say 75% damage per shot, but has a shorter reload of the barret and less arc of the barret at long distances.

i've taken the stats of the barret and ruger, made a comparison, and came up with (what should be) a happy median.


Ruger Statistics:
Bullet start speed = 27.5
Bullet start power = 88.44
Bullets/Sec. = 2
Reloading = 1.56 sec.
Ammuniton = 4

Barret Statistics:
Bullet start speed = 45.83
Bullet start power = 272.25
1 bullet in 4 sec.
Reloading = 5 sec.
Ammuniton = 10

New Gun Statistics:
Bullet start speed = 36.67
Bullet start power = 180.35
1 bullet in 1.5 sec.
Reloading = 3 sec.
Ammuniton = 6

any thoughts? tweaks? comments? flames?

So this would be a barret replacement or what. Perhaps a PSG1 or M24 as the new sniper weapon.

Maybe you want some kind of faster firing sniper rifle, in that case perhaps something like a steyr scout or a D3AU1 (a semi-sniper rifle taken from counterstrike).

It is just that I am bored of seing one shot weapons out there and now they try to bring a 2 shot weapon for people who does not use barret so it is just camp once and do it again when the enemy starts seeing you. That just put my speech away.

I dont like the idea. It just seems like it would be to cheap.

But i still like the bayonett idea..what ever happen to that ^_^

Yeh! A mix between the LAW and M79. A proper rocket launcher, which comes out of rocket launcher slow, then accelerates. It would have a slightly slower reload time than the M79 and you have to crouch to fire. I shall call it.... the "L4W"!!!
