1) They repeat because they are .it files and thats what they do. From what I understand, .it files are formed with an intro section and a main section. They play as the intro section followed on by the main section, which, at the ends, repeats the main section again, making a never ending track which has a proper beginning. I'm going to experiment modding soldat with making .it files from matrix tracks, using intro/repeat.

2) There are 4 tracks, believe it or not. We have to go back to the days of 1.0.5b to remember playing soldat alongside the track we call 'Battle'. It got shifted out in 1.1, and to listen to it now, play soldat with the intro enabled (select box in 'more' in config).

Anyway, Gore is by far the best...always was, always will be. It was the classic 1.0.5b track, because battle sucks when you're playing a game. Battle is destined to be an intro theme because thats all its good for. However, Necromancide (Not Necromcide) is in close behind, and bloody soil is better than battle.
