Not sure what everyone else thinks but I don't think you should be able to throw nades and fire a gun at the same time. The MP5 with that rules deathmatch...

i also think that there are too many posts in this forum suggesting changes to make, rather than bugs in the newest version :P shouldnt general changes to soldat be posted in the game suggestions forum?

I agree with Kazuki, but don't single out the mp5 please.. It's the same with all weapons.

I don't have a big problem with it and also think that it's just one of the main parts of Soldat that shouldn't be left out. Having a good aiming with your favorite weapon is one thing, but being good at throwing nades can make you even more powerful. I know it can be anoying, but you just need to do it yourself. And for me the biggest problem there isn't the ability to throw nades, but that they often just don't do any damage when you throw them. Lag really is the biggest problem Soldat has at the moment imho, besides the power of AK/Minimi.

Aim with an MP5 isn't really something that is required in a small map (like bridge) when you're holding down the fire button and mashing the grenade throw button, but I suppose you're right.
Edit: I agree with you on the lag thing. Grenades + lag = :(

Well, either way, I'm going to say something now. I don't believe it will create such a huge problem if you discontinued the weapon fire when a player is throwing a grenade. Suppose you're weilding an AK. You're holding down the fire button, and as usual, the AK fires normally. However, you press the grenade button while holding the fire button. Your player would then stop firing and would quickly throw a grenade. When the animation is finished, the player continues to shoot automatically if the fire button is still being held. My theory is that this will reduce grenade spamming because if you're grenade spamming, then you won't be shooting your AK for a few seconds.

A rather ingenius idea.
If anyone has played on the 1.2.1 2wai servers, they have limited it to just 1 nade or none at all. The lack of nade spammage in a game (though something even I do from time to time to clear the way) seems to make the gameplay flow alot more smoothly, and some people's tactics change as they become aware that alot relies souly on their aim rather than throwing as much as possible in their direction.
But at the same time, this ain't necessarily a good thing. Nade's are a reason for luck and randomness which could be seen as good or bad. Then there is also 1 shot weapons that could freely nade spam, having no shots to interrupt, and we'd see an even larger popularity of these damn weapons in public servers. (I don't mind the 1 shot weapons themselves, but when everyone in a server uses them -and it does happen- it gets a bit silly)
But I like this suggestion anyway. People relying on their primary skills would make for more intense hardcore gameplay.

Whoops, sorry Kazuki, I meant I agree with Lazehboi.. I get you 2 mixed up for some strange reason.
Not much aim is required with most weapons in close combat situations that involve nade spamming like that. Especially not the spas or deagles which will kill you evevn quicker..
Anyway, you know what the sad thing is? When I look at server stats and stuff.. I see that for most players, Nades is their best/favourite weapon.. I just hate it when you know your aim is better, and then all they do is throw a nade at you and you die first..

Eh? Throwing a grenade pauses your reload (and i think cool down) time untill it's thrown, so it wouldn't really change anything for the 1 shot weapons.
