Okay. I joined Selfkill's server to play htf_void, and kept getting map errors, so I decided to visit IRC and check it out. No one else was having an issue, but grand_diablo restarted the server for me and I joined.
Everything was fine until I chose a team, where I became invisible and had the number four above my head (I had already spawned visible, I suddenly became invisible and had the 4 again). At this point Soldat said I killed myself, and switched me over to spectator's mode. I figured this was part of the game since you're supposed to wait until the next round to play, but the process kept repeating over and over again.
At the top of the screen it gave me the time till the end of the round (Spyder was also on my team) and I changed teams to my team once more. Again, I spawned invisible, died, changed teams, died again? and repeated.
Once I rejoined the server the issue wasn't there.
