MM posted somewhere or said on his site why there is no linux version... it might have even been in the selfkill interview.

no the source is not available, but maybe some day there will be a linux version, i don't think it has been completely ruled out

edit: and i believe it is a pain in the ass to port delphi to linux in the first place

What Distro are you running?

in debian based distro you can run soldat under the WINE enviornment...

from command line as root type :

apt-get install wine

then run the soldat installer:

wine soldat.exe

if it dont run for you you will need to copy over the Direct X DLL files from your windows partition (in wine setup it can auto detect, and copy the dll files)

I got it running under Ubuntu... but the alsa sound was borqued...
Ubuntu WINE is screwed up when it comes to sound...

anyways, I wish someone would make a script to install soldat with wine... or perhaps some soldat .RPM or .DEB for easy configureing and installing...

Cedega claims to run soldat, but costs lots of $$$... you can compile WINE-X for free, but is a pain in the ass to set up...

hope this helps... also hope some linux gurus make an indepth linux / wine install instructions...
