I think Soldat should adopt what CounterStrike does: when you change teams, you keep your score. Players are reluctant to fix uneven teams because it means losing their score. I believe this feature would greatly improve the quality of public servers.
There is also a bug that sometimes happens where, if the server is full, you cannot change teams. So if it is 6 vs. 4 (the server capacity being 10), you can't fix the teams unless you rejoin the server.
There is also a GUI error where let's say the teams are uneven, you go to the Change Teams dialog box, but then someone changes to the disadvantaged team before you do. There is no way to exit out of the Change Teams dialog box unless you choose to change to Alpha or Bravo. If you change to the team you're already on, you respawn and lose your score. (The losing-your-score part of course wouldn't matter if the CS method above was adopted).
