Problem with Map Edges

If you play a map that does not contain any edge file, sometimes soldat will randomly select one from the edges folder and use it on the map (even tho it shouldn't have any).

I noticed this in my topic as well. :/

Do you have an edge for this texture with the same name, but a different texture? I ask because the texture I used has been changed multiple times, to the point where I don't even know what the original looked like. I don't see that visual problem at all, so I can only suggest getting the edge I updated the download with and trying that

So is this a version problem or a problem with the edges (as we have a texture and different edge with the same name)?

It shouldn't select anything randomly, are you sure it's not a version problem?

I'd like it if we could decide if the map uses edges or not. Then I wouldn't have to worry about the frame rate dropping if I wanted to make another high poly count map :p The map file format would probably have to be changed for that though.

I'm not sure what to think. I created the map and played it in game with no problems with the edges. Could this be because my edge matches my version of this texture? I have an updated download link (Download), so could someone please tell me if using the edge that I included in this .zip fixes the problem?

Perhaps I'm going down the wrong track here, but it seems that if you got this map, updated your version of this texture yet not your edges, that the texture and edge files wouldn't match, so we'd get these color issues? It's all I can come up with, and since I can't seem to reprodce this problem on my comp, I have no clue. I can only assume I don't get the problem because I have the right edge?
