well, I've just been on the SK beta server..
I've tried to change team (from blue to red) it's showed me i'm red in the tables (f1) and then just quit the server.. oO
It's happened to Michal as well...

anyway, I've tried to restart soldat, it didn't help
this thing happened to me and Michal but not to spyder for some reason oO
maybe because the SK server is kinda buggy.
after being kicked and rejoining I've seen the orginal nick for about 1 min until it got "disconnected".
oh and we tried it in few maps.. it happened in all of them.

Yeah, this happened to me too, but only when switching from bravo to alpha. Not the other way around.

I think there are problems if you use "/gamemode" on the server. This might be one if the bugs that happen because of this.
